The Cause

The Cause that we are committed to is one that we take great pride in supporting. President Obama signed into law a new "VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011. This new law provides improved and added benefits for veterans to gain education for reemployment into the civilian workforce. It also provides tax benefits to employers for hiring our veterans.
Resource Integration has implemented a campaign to do our part in setting our veterans up for successful opportunities. By working to educate clients on the benefits of hiring servicemen, understanding the tax benefits of hiring verterans, and how their experience and skill sets are very conducive to civilian employment, we are hopeful that we will help make a difference in lowering the unemployment rate of those who have served us.

When you hire a verteran via Resource Integration's efforts, we will give you a free month of professional sourcing or recruiting with our SoloSource or SoloSearch for one month/one hire.
The Hire Heroes Act has the added benefit of realizing tax credits. Companies can claim a credit against taxes owed of as much as $5,600 for hiring verterans, and as much as $9,600 for hiring veterans with service-connected disabilities, if the veteran has been looking for work for six months or longer.
The new law also provides as much as $2,400 for hiring a veteran who has been looking for work for one to six months.
The tax credits are part of a measure that also repeals a requirement that federal, state, and local governments begin withholding 3 percent of payments to contractors in 2013. The Senate and House passed the legislation on November 10 and November 17 respectively.
The unemployment rate for military veterans who joined the service since the September 11 terrorist attacks was 12.1 percent in October 2011, according to the DOL.
To further encourage hiring veterans, the government can pay employers for providing on-the-job training to veterans who haven't been rehabilitaed, up to the point of employability.
